New Topcon Total Stations
with Flash Card reader The
very latest models of Topcon total stations include an integrated compact
flash card reader slot to expand the memory storage capability of the
instruments.
For users that require more flexibility
in handling their data, the new GTS-600C
Series offer the possibility to expand on the instruments internal data
memory of 320 KB RAM. By using the internal card reader, industry standard
Compact Flash cards can be easily inserted in the total station to store
or upload data from and to the internal memory of the instrument. This
offers flexibility in data handling and ease of transfering data from
site to office. Data cards of upto 32MB can be used, increasing the
internal memory capacity of 5,000 points.
The GTS-600/600C series consists of four models:
GTS-601, GTS-602, GTS-603, and GTS-605 with 1" (0.3mgon), 2"
(0.6mgon), 3" (1.0mgon), and 5" (1.5mgon) angle accuracies
respectively.
Features
All models have dual axis compensation, large graphic display, alphanumeric
keyboard, and internal memory for up to 5,000 points. Distance measuring
range is 3km to a single prism with an accuracy of ±2mm + 2ppm (GTS-605:
2km). GTS-600 series is of compact robust construction offering a high
degree of water protection (IPX6). A single on-board battery (NiMH)
offers up to 7 hours operation.
Auto Focus
The GTS-600AF Series also has the above features, but these unique
instruments have the first auto focus system to be developed in a
Surveying Total Station. Added to the Auto Focus, GTS-600AF series
is also available with Point Guide to assist stake out work and an
optional Laser Plummet to make instrument set up quick and easy.
Topcon is the first to introduce
this time saving technology to a high performance total station. The
Auto Focus can focus in a matter of seconds at the point sighted through
the telescope. Just direct the telescope to the prism or target position
using the sighting scope, press the "AF" key and the focus
will be set automatically. This dramatically increases convenience
and speed with which points can be located and viewed through the
telescope.

SSS600 software
The GTS-600 series has a MSDOS operating system and is supplied with
pre-installed application programs including the Topcon field surveying
program "Standard Survey Software" (SSS600). In addition
to SSS600, easy to use routines are included to increase functionality
in the field.
Included programs:
The SSS600 has the same
functionality as other SSS packages used in other Topcon total stations
(GTS-512E, GTS-710, GTS-800) so offering broad compatibility across
the Topcon product range.
